FYJC General Merit List on 20th June at 5 PM, Cut-off List for Mithibai, NM College
On the first year junior college (FYJC) online application last day, a few thousand students will login to http://fyjc.org.in/mumbai/LoginPage/Login.aspx website, predict the Mumbai education department. FYJC Online application process ended on Friday, i.e 17th June 2016.
2.13 lakh students completed part one of the admission process till 16th. B B Chavan, deputy director of education, Mumbai region said, "Around 2.49 lakh students passed the Class X (SSC) examination from different boards in the Mumbai metropolitan region (MMR). The number of applications is expected to reach around 2.25 lakh by the end of the fyjc admission process. Those students who do not login on the http://fyjc.org.in/mumbai/LoginPage/Login.aspx website could have opted for various colleges outside the city or diploma courses.
All students, irrespective of the quota under which they are applying, must need to register for the fyjc online admission process. After the general merit list is annnounced at 5 pm on June 20, the next phase of the fyjc.org.in/mumbai online process starts. After this, on 27th June, fyjc first merit list 2016 will be released.
Many more colleges have announced the cut-offs for the first merit list for students who are applying under the minority/management quotas. Science cut-offs are becoming lower year after year. At prestigious Mithibai College, cut-offs for Science (general) is lowered down by some points as compared to last year. Swapna Surve, vice-principal of the college said, "It could be that aided colleges can't run integrated courses which are becoming popular day by day among students."
N M College first cut-off list for Commerce was 90.4%. Principal, Amee Vora of NM College said, "There are 560 students on the merit list, and the first student on the list has got 98.53%." All the junior colleges whose seats have not been filled properly need to surrender vacant seats from their minority and in-house quotas by June 21.
